Jaws Wine

Disciplines: Packaging Design, Label Mechanics, Web Design

Client: Fior di Sole, Universal Pictures

Jaws’ 50th anniversary is in 2025. To celebrate, Fior di Sole had the idea of licensing the intellectual rights of Jaws to create the ultimate fan-favorite wine. When I designed the sparkling wine’s labels, the idea was to highlight Bruce (the shark) as much as possible but still keep the iconic feel of the movie poster that fans love so much.
I wanted to create the movie poster in bottle form.

My role was creating the label , website, and label mechanics.

Jaws Social Media

The bottle includes a paper label of the Jaws logo on the front of the bottle, a two sided print on the back of the bottle that reveals itself from the inside of the bottle, and a clear neck label with the swimmer from the iconic Jaws poster that will be swimming on the wine’s fill line.

There was a lot of mechanics that went into making sure that this design would apply correctly on the bottling lines. Because of this, there was a lot of testing and trial and error with this bottle.

Jaws Wine Carton

In many grocery stores and wine retail spaces, wine cartons often serve a dual purpose, functioning as both transport packaging and a point-of-sale (POS) display on the sales floor. What might typically be discarded can instead become a striking element to capture a customer’s attention.

To enhance the presentation of bottles displayed in these cartons, a three-inch border is typically cut away to provide visibility. For this particular carton design, I took it a step further by incorporating a custom die-cut around the shark graphic, adding a dynamic focal point that highlights the bottle and creates a visually engaging display.

Jaws Store Display

Using the Jaws cartons and a little bit of creativity, I created a couple of eye catching store displays; A shark cage that’s on theme for the Jaws movie, and a big cutout of Bruce. Both of these displays would work as a photo opportunity for the consumer, further increasing social media presence and boost sales.
